Title: Refrigeration Supervisor

Supervises, directs and coordinates activities of Refrigeration, Wastewater, Boiler and PSM/MP2 associates by providing communication and assistance to assure that the operations of the plant utilities operates efficiently.
Promote an effective safety awareness and accident prevention program.
Includes setting a good example and communicating with all associates as measured by 0 lost time accidents and workers compensation cost not to exceed $.05/per hr. per associate. Assure that equipment is in safe operating condition and assigned areas are in a clean and orderly manner.
Assure that all associates understand and comply with all policies and regulations set forth by USDA, EPA, and local standards as measured by the quantity and severity of issues that occur. Coordinate daily usage of PSM and MP2 programs, train and assist personnel in the usage of these programs as measured by 100% successful implementation of both programs in a timely manner. Inspects maintenance systems to detect existing or potential hazards, determines corrective and preventative measures where indicated.
Follows up to assure measures have been implemented as measured by the quantity and severity of issues that occur.
Conduct effective communication program, which includes oral, written and visual approach, as measured by the degree to which associates understand how results are obtained or achieved. 
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in maintenance. 5 years operational experience with ammonia refrigeration systems of 10,000 lbs, wastewater, boiler operations and Process Safety Management and RMP is required. Strong technical background in PLC's, electrical, electrical motor, preventative maintenance and general maintenance skills preferred. Intermediate skill level of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Class I - Wastewater and boiler operator's license.
Class II - Refrigeration operator's license.
5 years operation experience with ammonia system of minimum 10,000 lbs.
CIRO - Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator preferred.

Key Requirements
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. 3+ years supervisory experience in maintenance.

Education

High School diploma or GED required.

Associates degree or equivalent certifications in mechanical and/or electrical field preferred.

Experience
· 5+ years experience operating, maintaining and improving industrial ammonia refrigeration and utility systems.

Prior high speed manufacturing experience is a plus.

Solid understanding of industrial electrical/electronics systems including VFDs (variable frequency drives), motor controls and 3 phase AC power.

Maximo or CMMS experience a plus

Able to effectively use a multi-meter, clamp-on meter, and megger.

Able to operate, trouble shoot, and maintain the plant Freon HVAC systems.
